Fowler is located east on Quincy on Highway 24, east of Bloomfield and west of Paloma. Fowler was founded in 1857 as a railroad stop. At that time, the village was known as Fowler’s Station. Compared to some other villages in Adams County Fowler has a bustling population of between 1100 and 1200. That make it a lively metropolis compared to other communities in the county.

Looking at a satellite view of Fowler you can see it is a rural farming based community. Illinois is known for growing a large portion of the nation’s corn and soybean crops.
