My oh my? Where is Kellerville?
Kellerville is located in the very southeast corner of Concord Township. It is the only unincorporated area in Concord Township. Other residences in interspersed throughout the township.
Needless to say, the population of Concord Township is very small. The last Census in 2016 counted only 283 citizens in the entire Township.
Historically the first settlements were made in 1832. Kellerville was originally called Hickory Corner but in 1869 is changed to Kellerville.
Kellerville used to have a more prosperous past in the 19th century. Supposedly there is a rumor of a buried treasure put there by the French when they were having a war with the Indians in the area. Many adventurers have tried to locate the is hidden treasure but none ever succeeded.
Everybody knows everyone around Kellerville. When you have fewer than 300 people in the entire Township you pretty much know who people are.
Everyone recognizes you too. Everybody knows where you live and who you are, the number of sugars you enjoy your early morning coffee. LOL. Virtually nothing compares to the close-knit community of the small-town quality of life. The people here have traditional values where a lot of people are more courteous and respectful. Not everyone is, but most people are. There are always bad apples in every bushel if you know what I mean.
The folks enjoy spending time all together. Some of the positive aspects of small town life is the fact that most people and families do everything together. Living is less complex in a small-sized community. Good quality time is always among the absolute most appealing reasons to reside in a small town today. For the folks that live here the more relaxed pace of life represents a better of life.
Living in a small town means you may be fortunate enough to experience a wide-open night time sky with a tapestry of stars. In the countryside, or small town, you get to have that each and every single night time of your life.
One of the great advantages of residing in a small town is fresh air. What people residing in large urban areas don’t understand just how much junk they are inhaling and subjecting their young children to in the city. Smogginess and fumes are a day-to-day part of living in the city. Not so in the countryside unless you are living alongside or down-wind from a hog, poultry farm or a cattle feed lot.
The travel back and forth across town is little or nothing as compared to living in the big city with a lot of stop lights and traffic you must to contend with. Here you’re across town in a few minutes at the absolute most.
Low crime levels mean we have a safer environment for bring up a family.
Folks here find it quick and easy to be informed since everyone knows everyone. If something big happens, you will find out about it soon enough.
